Kristy Blackmer, MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
I am the managing member of Be Well Counseling and Consulting Services, LLC, the private practice I began in June 2014. I achieved my full licensure in July 2015.

In September 2018, I achieved my Certified Advanced Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CAADC) credential, which included over 2000 hours of continuing education.
In July 2018, I resigned from my role as a Case Monitor for the State Bar of Michigan Lawyers and Judges Assistant Program to focus on my private practice.
During 2014- 2015, I was contracted by Portland Public Elementary Schools to provide counseling services, behavioral interventions, and classroom instruction to DK-5 students, families, faculty and staff.

My professional experience also includes my previous role as a community educator for RAVE (Relief After Violent Encounter), where I provided presentations on healthy relationships, domestic/dating violence, rape, and sexual assault prevention education to law enforcement agencies, middle and high schools, local service groups, human services agencies as well as to the general public in Ionia and Montcalm counties.
I achieved my Master's Degree in Community Counseling at Siena Heights University. During my graduate studies, I completed over 1500 hours of field experience between Portland Public School and Four Health Family Resource Center, Inc., where I previously provided services as a contractual therapist.
